Eugen Indjic Recital

August 24 @ 19:00 - 20:00

We are thrilled to welcome Eugen Indjic back to Manchester.  His ravishing poetry, majesterial tonal command and deep interpretive  conviction bear witness to an artist of total integrity and authority.

From the opening measures of the Second Sonata you know you are listening to a master pianist, drawn into the burnished, silky-smooth tone Eugen Indjic produces, noting with pleasure his scrupulous phrasing of the first subject – Gramophone magazine

“A sumptuous tonal palette … His luminous and distinguished reading draws spectacular landscapes through which he guides us with a serene and reassuring hand. The pianist gives us the impression that suddenly we begin understanding a foreign language. It is a journey truly worth taking.” Diapason – 2019

Prize-winner of three international contests – Warsaw (1970), Leeds (1972), and Rubinstein (1974), Indjic has performed with the leading orchestras of the United States, South America, Europe and Asia, and under such conductors as Bernstein, Casadesus, Gergiev, Gielen, Jochum, Kubelík, Leinsdorf, Sanderling, Sinopoli, Solti, etc
