Course - Contemporary

Established in 2018 this new course provides an exciting opportunity to study with two leading experts in contemporary piano repertoire.

On part one we welcome Megumi Masaki –  a concert pianist and multimedia artist. The innovation and breadth of her artistic activity, dynamic temperament and ‘riveting and mind-expanding’ performances have earned her a reputation as a leading interpreter of contemporary music. She specializes in exploring how sound, image, text and movement can be integrated in multimedia works.

On part two we welcome Joanna MacGregor – Head of keyboard at the Royal Academy of music. She has premiered many landmark compositions, ranging from Sir Harrison Birtwistle and Django Bates to John Adams and James MacMillan.

It is possible to choose up to 3 individual lessons on the course.

This last week has been incredible – I hoped I would enjoy it but all my expectations were surpassed, it was such a special time. – Lee H
