Junior Academy – Online resources
OnlineDaily resources will be sent to all participants. These will include technical warmup exercises, practise advice and recordings to help develop listening skills. For pianists who are taking the full online course, individual piano lessons and lessons on extra courses may be timetabled.
Junior Academy Registration

Practise or individual lessons
A chance to enjoy some time to practise in one of the many piano rooms in the school's state-of-the-art facilities. If extra courses or lessons have been booked individual lessons may be timetabled now as well.
Social time
A chance for everyone to unwind at the end of the first day. Non residents leave for the day and the residents can choose from options including socials in house, fit to perform in the gym, practise, duet playing - or relaxing in the house TV lounge.
Group class workshops
The day begins with a morning group class for all pianists. The sessions are live-streamed for all the online participants.
Teaching session 1
The first session of the day with all members of the faculty working intensely in individual lessons with the participants. Children are encouraged to watch other lessons. Courses include aural, jazz, composition, harpsichord and much more!
Drop in performance class
An informal class where everyone can come along between lessons and practise to play their piece to a member of the faculty on a lovely grand piano.
