All accommodation is within the grounds of Chetham’s School of Music.  There are single en-suite rooms, family en-suite rooms and dormitory bedrooms. The standard of accommodation is excellent and linen, towels and soap are provided. Rooms are serviced during the week. There is also wireless internet available free of charge.

The atmosphere of the summer school is made unique by the fact that participants and faculty dine and socialise together enabling everyone to feel very welcome.
So it may be coffee with Noriko Ogawa or a glass of wine with Peter Donohoe, but you will be guaranteed a stimulating and inspirational stay.

The school is located in the centre of Manchester, alongside the glorious Manchester Cathedral. There are many shops, restaurants, museums and art galleries within walking distance.

It is possible for participants to come on the course for as few or as many days as they wish. Due to the enormous popularity of the course however, anyone planning  to arrive or leave outside of the standard course dates for each part will need to find accommodation outside of the school.

NB – the course can cater for well over 200 participants on each week to have lessons but the single en-suite rooms for adults over 26 sell out very quickly.
