Manchester is a vibrant city and a centre of excellence for the arts and for music in particular. Participants on the course can either choose to stay on site at Chetham’s, with full board and accommodation, or come as a non-resident participant or observer.

NB It is possible for participants to come on the course for as few or as many days as they wish. Due to the enormous popularity of the course however, anyone planning to arrive or leave outside of the standard course dates will need to find accommodation outside of the school. There are many hotels in Manchester to suit all budgets, many within walking distance of the school.

CIPSS Part One

13:00 – 15.00 on Thursday 8th August in the Ogelsby Atrium, Chetham’s school of music. 

CIPSS Part Two

13:00 to 15:00 on Tuesday 13th August in the Ogelsby Atrium, Chetham’s school of music. 

Please try to arrive in plenty of time to settle in before the opening events. If you are going to arrive after the official registration time please email Kathryn and advise on your arrival time. 

All participants at the Summer School are most welcome to bring their families and friends along as observers (see special rates). Because the faculty and facilities at Chetham’s are so large, it is possible for the Summer School to accommodate a wide ability and age range.
