Claudius Tanski
Biographical Info
Claudius Tanski was born in Essen/Germany in 1959. He studied in Essen, Salzburg, Vienna and London, where Alfred Brendel was his most important teacher for several years.
Tanski won a lot of prizes and distinctions at international competitions and played as a soloist as well as a chamber-musician at important festivals. He played throughout Europe and also in USA, South America, Japan, South-East Asia and India.
Tanski recorded some 20 CD`s for the German label MDG (www.mdg.de). His recordings were honoured with a lot of international prizes, among them “”CD of the year”” for US-magazine “”Fanfare””, “”Editor`s Choice”” of “”Gramophone””, five times the “”Prize of German Record Critics”” and an “”Echo-Klassik-Prize”” 1997 in the division Chamber music.
