Biographical Info

Jill trained as a pianist at Chetham’s school of music and as a vocalist at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She won the Senigallia International Young Pianists’ Competition in Italy at the age of 18. She has performed throughout the UK and abroad as both soloist and accompanist. She works regularly as a freelance accompanist and keyboard player. She released an album of her own songs “Listen to my story” in 2011. Alongside her performing career, Jill has taught piano for several years, both in schools and privately. She has taught second study pianists at Chetham’s since 2017. She is also an experienced singing teacher. Jill is delighted to be on the Junior Academy faculty.
