In todays lecture Murray discusses Musical Rhetoric.

In simple terms rhetoric means persuasion. Using examples throughout the talk Murray will show how to develop  powers of musical persuasion from in-depth understanding of the musical score. The first approach is through the analysis of the compositional structure. The second looks at the ‘dialogue’ between the different strands and how the ‘conversation’ evolves. A fascinating subject!
